Agreement: Arbitration Clauses

Although it is possible to agree to arbitration after a dispute has arisen, and this is certainly something that our application and appointment team will assist you with; best practice would be to incorporate an arbitration clause into your contracts. This way you can be assured from the offset that any disputes can, and will, go to arbitration.

There are many clauses that can be incorporated into your contracts, the majority of which vary depending on the type of arbitration you will require. For domestic arbitrations, more general clauses maybe preferable, whereas international arbitrations may invite clauses relating to the procedural rules that you have pre-selected to govern your arbitrations.
